Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families & Friends,

Today is a very exciting day! Our teacher assignments will be available for the 2022-2023 school year via the Aspen family portal and we are one step closer to beginning a bright, new school year! Whether you are a returning Academy family or new to Academy, we are excited to take this new journey with you.

As we transition from summer to opening day, this newsletter, the Academy Avenue Announcements will have a ton of links and buttons below to help get you started. You can expect a new one every Sunday throughout the school year to help keep you informed and engaged. There will be links and info regarding signing up for a family account on Aspen Family Portal, Bus Services, Free/Reduced Lunch information/menus, beginning of the year events, and of course more information regarding Opening Day and arrival/dismissal procedures. Also coming out today will be the Kindergarten Orientation letters for September 6-7. Please also make time to complete a student dismissal form for each child prior to the first day of school. Please review each of these tabs below carefully in preparation for the first day.

School start times are as follows:

Opening Bell: 8:55AM

Late Bell: 9:05AM

Dismissal Bell: 3:10PM K/3:15PM for 1-5

Half Day Dismissals: 11:50AM

• 1st Day of School Grades 1-5, September 6, 2022 (half day dismissal at 11:50AM).

• Kindergarten Orientation September 6-7, 2022

• 1st day of Kindergarten: September 8, 2022

• Academy Open House, Monday September 12, 2022 6-8PM.

All absences should be reported to the Main Office. Messages can be left on the attendance hotline any time, including non-school hours. Please leave a detailed message with your child's first/last name as well as her/his homeroom with the nature of the absence. If you would like a return message from Nurse Ali, please include that in your message.
