A Note from the Principal's Desk

Greetings Hawthorne ES Parents/Guardians,

Today begins Hispanic Heritage Month, which is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the unique voices and experiences of Hispanic/Latino Americans and recognize their history, journeys, and achievements. Through these celebrations, we can all help to inspire younger generations and bring communities together.

Grandparents Day at Hawthorne ES was ahhhh-mazing!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful parents for your generous donations and support! Because of you, our Grandparents’ Breakfast was a huge success. It was truly a joy to see so many grandparents enjoying breakfast with their grandchildren in celebration of Grandparents’ Day.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Each day counts for EVERY student! Let's work together to ensure every student is present and ready to Succeed! Thank you for having your child at school every day. Attendance is a major part of a student's education. The goal each month is 95% At Hawthorne ES, Each classroom is participating in the September Attendance Challenge, If every student is present, one letter of the phrase "Hawthorne Hornets Fly" will be shaded in, the class that shades in every letter of the phrase, wins a 'Special Treat' at the end of the month.

Student MAP reports were sent home on Friday. Additional information regarding how to reading your child's MAP report, click here.
