2026-2027 Oakland Schools EL Network Meetings 2026-2027 Oakland Schools EL Network Meetings

Join us in collective advocacy at EL Network, where we work together to create bright futures for multilingual learners.

This network will guide participants in navigating the evolving landscape of ELD programming, instruction, and assessment. Anchored in The EL Program Coordinator's Handbook and other relevant research, each session will feature panel discussions, collaborative activities, and opportunities to access valuable resources through miPLACE.

Topics will include:

  • Building high-quality Tier 1 instruction for English Learners in both integrated and designated contexts

  • Understanding and applying the K-12 Literacy and Dyslexia law

  • Updates and shared learning around state, federal and local legislation and policies

  • Innovative practices that ensure equitable paths to graduation

Participants will also collaborate to develop strategic plans for implementing these changes, forge partnerships across districts to share innovative ideas and resources, and engage in enriching professional learning experiences. Together, we can ensure that every English Learner has access to high-quality educational opportunities.

Audience: Ideal for EL coordinators, educators, and district teams passionate about advancing equitable outcomes for multilingual learners.
