Dear Crestview Families,
Just a reminder that report cards will be viewable on ProgressBook this Saturday October 24th.
OUTDOOR RECESS
As cooler temperatures approach, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Students should bring a jacket and wear clothing that will keep them warm and comfortable while playing outside. We want everyone to enjoy their time outdoors, even as the temperatures drop.
‼️ ATTENDANCE
As we head into the second quarter, we want to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance. Every school day matters! Being at school each day helps students maintain strong routines, develop friendships, and stay engaged in their learning. Thank you for your continued partnership in making school attendance a priority and supporting your child's success.

MLB Players Stem League
Last Tuesday, elementary students from across the district participated in an MLB Players STEM League tournament! This hands-on program, created by @learn_fresh, turns math into an interactive game using real-life statistics from @MLB players. Created in partnership with the @MLBPlayersTrust, the league brings learning to life through a baseball-themed board game and fun activities. It's another example of the creative, hands-on ways our district makes learning exciting. Congratulations to our top 4th and 5th grade math students and a BIG SHOUT out to Mrs. Marinaro, Mrs. Thomason, and Mrs. Guciardo for helping our students!
CONGRATS to the following students:
Lincoln Nemet, Davey Cehlar, Emma Mellis, Victoria McGrath, Kennedy Komar, Jace Tokmenko, Oleksandra Staiura, Julia Green, Samantha Frick, Max Sun, Kinsley Martin, Grayson Voase, Josh Palcisco, Sawyer Skubak, Callie Viola, and Liam Burroughs.
5th Grade Presenting Lessons on Feelings
Car Rider Line
On Monday, students were given a brightly colored piece of cardstock labeled Crestview Elementary School, like the example below. Please write your child’s first and last name in large, easy-to-read letters and place the name tag on your car’s visor.
Displaying your child’s name clearly helps our staff quickly identify students and call out names, keeping our car rider line moving safely and efficiently.
If your child’s name tag has been misplaced, simply create a new one using a piece of paper.
Thank you for your continued support as we work toward continuous improvement and a smooth dismissal process for everyone!
HOUSE MEETING- we need your help
Autumn is here, and with it comes crunchy leaves, fallen twigs, and treasures waiting to be discovered right in your own backyard! At our next school house meeting on Friday, October 23, students will be working in groups to create nature art using natural materials. During the design process, students will be practicing teamwork and creativity.
How you can help: We're asking families to collect and send in any of the following items by Monday, October 19:
● 🍂 Fallen leaves (all colors and sizes)
● 🌿 Sticks and twigs (pencil-length to ruler-length is perfect)
● 🪶 Bark pieces and dried grasses A few quick tips:
● Please gather only items that have already fallen to the ground.
● Shake off any bugs and let items dry out before packing them.
● Send items in a paper or Ziploc bag with the student's name on it and give it to their homeroom teacher.
● Please avoid anything sharp, moldy, or from plants that cause allergic reactions (like poison ivy). Please send donations by Monday, October 19. Even a small bag makes a big difference. Collecting is also a great excuse for a family fall walk! Thank you for helping us bring a little bit of autumn into our school community. We can't wait to see what our students create!
With gratitude, Miss Flama and Ms. O’Neill
