Three Things to Know
Welcome to Midview High School
Welcome to the 2026–27 school year! We are excited to kick off another great year at Midview High School as we celebrate the Class of 2027 beginning their senior year and welcome the Class of 2030 as they start their high school journey.
Our commitment is to support, challenge, and inspire every student as they pursue their goals and prepare for what's ahead. Below, you'll find important information about the upcoming school year, including building updates, key dates, and other helpful reminders.
We're looking forward to a fantastic year together—let's make it a great one!
Freshman Orientation
Freshman Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Orientation is designed to help our freshman feel prepared and confident as they begin their high school journey. Students will receive their schedules, become familiar with the building, review important school information, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the upcoming year. They will also participate in fun, engaging activities led by our junior and senior student mentors.
Please note: Freshman Orientation is for students only. Parents/guardians may drop off their student at the MHS Kubuski Gym Entrance before the program begins.
MHS Open House
MHS Open House for all high school students and their families will be held on Thursday, September 3, from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
Open House is a great opportunity to meet teachers and staff, explore the building, locate classrooms, ask questions, and receive important back-to-school information.
Student schedules will be available in PowerSchool beginning Friday, August 28th. Printed copies will also be available during Open House for those who need one.

Student Lockers

Supplies & Materials
Midview High School teachers will provide supply lists for their respective courses at the beginning of the school year.
Breakfast & Lunch
Cafeteria menus and information regarding student meal accounts can be found on the Midview Local Schools Food Services web page.
Free & Reduced-price Meals
This school year, the State of Ohio's biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and lunch to students who qualify for reduced-price meals. This means all families eligible for free OR reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE, provided they complete the required application.
- Visit the Food Services web page for additional information and eligibility criteria or apply directly through PaySchools Central.
MHS Parking
All students who are planning on driving and parking in the high school parking lot must fill out their parking application and pay $35 to Mrs. Onderko in the MHS main office (more info here). Seniors wanting to paint their parking spot (see more info in the Class of 2027 section below) must pay an additional $25, which will go into the event fund for the Class of 2027. JVS students do not have to pay for parking as long as they park in the JVS lot located on the northeast corner of the MHS property. CCP Classes Begin August 24
CCP classes, online or in person, at LCCC start 8/24/2026. (This does not include CCP classes taught at MHS). If you registered for an online or in person class at LCCC, please make sure you log in to your MyCampus/Canvas accounts and start your course work on the correct date. Please note that the first two weeks of school in CCP are paramount to your success. It is the timeframe that professors record semester attendance, so missing this period may cause you to get dropped from your class. Additionally, the final day to officially drop your class without penalty is Sunday 9/6/2026. Please make sure you are being attentive so there are no issues with your classes. If a school issued Chromebook is needed, please stop in the mail office to obtain your computer prior to school starting. Emails were sent to individual students that are currently registered for classes from our LCCC rep, Winfred Robinson, wrobinson@lorainccc.edu.
