This easy to use tool, allows you to either pick a year for various videos, or you can choose a genre of videos by turning the radio dials next to the genres on or off.
How it has been used in RRISD
Deerpark Middle School used YouTube Time Machine to find YouTube videos related to the Outsiders. The videos were turned into QR codes and placed with printed out advertisements around the library. Students would venture through their Outsiders Gallery Walk and use their mobile devices to scan the QR codes and watch TV commercials about a product. YouTube Time Machine was also used to find music and poetry referenced in the book. Students were truly immersed in the time period and had a better idea of what the setting was like.
