Brief Message From the Principal

Dear Jayhawk Elementary Families,

We are off to a successful start with our first two days of school! It has been wonderful to see our students back in the building, full of energy and ready to learn. The year is already off to a positive and exciting beginning.

As you know, we have made an adjustment to our dismissal schedule this year. All JES students are now released at 3:25 PM. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through the details of this new process. Our goal is to keep things safe, smooth, and efficient, and we will continue to make adjustments as needed.

A friendly reminder: any transportation changes for your student must be communicated to the JES office by 2:00 PM each day. This allows us time to ensure a smooth transition for your child at dismissal. Last-minute changes can be very difficult to manage, so we thank you for your cooperation in helping us stay organized and safe.

Most importantly, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with you throughout this school year. Together, we will create a wonderful experience for each student, and we are excited about all the learning and growth ahead.

How Our Car Line Works
For our new families:

Each JES student is assigned a car line number.
That number will be printed on a car line poster for families to display in the front window of your vehicle during dismissal.
You will receive two posters per family at Back to School Conferences next Tuesday.
If you have multiple students at JES, your posters will come from your oldest child’s classroom teacher.
