May is Full of Fun Activites at the Judy Center at SES-Zoo Animals, Two Fun Field Trips, an Assembly, and A Transition Day at SES
During the month of May, children will learn many things about zoo animals. Week 1, we will focus on monkeys and apes. Week 2, we will focus on elephants and kangaroos. Week 3, we will focus on giraffes and zebras. Week 4, we will finish the monthly theme with a focus on lions and tigers.
Also, during the month of May, we will host our first Chesapeake Mermaid assembly for JC Playgroup, SES Pre-K and Kindergarten. We will then travel together to Godfrey Farm with SES Pre-K to learn more about the strawberry growing cycle. Our last field trip will find us traveling to Chestertown to one of our favorite outward bound experiences, the Sultana Education Foundation where children will learn more about beautiful butterflies. We will finish out the month with a fun transition day for parents and caregivers of children enrolled, or in the process of enrolling, and transitioning to the 2024-2025 SES Pre-K or Kindergarten classes. The final fun activity for the month of May will be a SNAP-Ed Nutrition class with Tina Squibb from the Univ. of Maryland Extension office. As you can see, May will be a busy month for all, as we complete all the monthly activities and finish the month of May "kicking off" our summers with Memorial Day fun!

Judy Center Early Learning Hubs serve families of children (birth through age 5) residing within their school's catchment area. They also serve children, who reside anywhere in Queen Anne's County; if a child has an IEP or an IFSP.
