✨ A Note from Mrs. Bell ✨
Good afternoon, families,
At Meadow View, we believe in partnering with parents to provide an exceptional education for every child, every day. This year, we are excited to offer flexible options for parent/teacher conferences, ensuring that 100% of our students have the opportunity for a meaningful parent/family/teacher conversation.
During the week of October 19-23 classroom teachers will be offering 20–30 minute conferences. This is an opportunity for teachers to share your child’s progress in both academics and social-emotional skills, and for you to ask any questions about how you can support learning at home.
We also understand that this time of year brings a lot of communication from both Meadow View and the Sun Prairie Area School District—especially if you have children in multiple grades or buildings. This email is designed to simplify the process and help you navigate conference sign-ups.
➡️ If you have already signed up for a conference, there’s no need to sign up again.
How to Sign Up for Conferences
Please find your child’s classroom teacher’s name and sign up for a 20–30 minute conference. In addition, our specialists are offering 10-minute conferences for parents who would like to meet with them.
Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education. We look forward to seeing you and your student(s) at conferences!
Warm regards,
Cynthia Bell Jiménez
Principal, Meadow View Elementary
Buenas tardes, familias:

SCO
Otter Trot 2026 was a huge success!
We were totally blown away by the energy and excitement of the day and how our Meadow View community showed up to celebrate our students and their commitment to physical fitness. And because of your fundraising efforts, we have raised $7,361 and counting.
We had a number of special guests join in the fun at Meadow View. We started off the day with the West football team welcoming our students, Sun Prairie Area School District Superintendent Dr. Reed also joined in on the fun to experience the Otter Trot and visit with our 4K students. And Principal Bell and our Schools Site Coordinator Leidi Perez De Celta broke out the inflatable mascot costumes. You’ll see more of the costumes later this year because we raised more than $6,000 and unlocked the annual mascot race as a school-wide incentive.
There is still more time to donate. You can donate online or bring cash or check to conferences this week. We’re collecting donations in the main office during conferences and you can also drop them off with your student’s teacher.
Details about where we are at with meeting our team and school fundraising goals are on the Meadow View SCO facebook page.
From the bottom of our hearts the SCO thanks all caregivers and their friends and family for showing up to support our Otters yesterday and giving money to support our school.

Building Community, One Small Act at a Time!
CLOTHING DRIVE CHALLENGE!
October 26 – December 1
Let's come together to support families in our community this winter!
We invite all Meadow View families to donate gently used clothing for children and adults, including coats, jackets, shoes, boots, gloves, and more. All items must be clean and in good condition.
How does it work?
Each grade level will have a designated donation box, and all donated items will count toward that grade's total. Items that come in pairs, such as shoes, gloves, and socks, will count as one item per complete pair.
Our Community School Site Coordinator will be responsible for counting the items, and a tracking chart will be displayed so everyone can follow each grade's progress!
The grade that collects the most items by December 1 will win a COOKIE PARTY! Every item counts. Every act of kindness matters!

Birthday Treat Guidelines
We wanted to provide some guidelines regarding birthday treats and appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the well-being and inclusivity of all students. Please take a moment to review the following reminders:
Accessibility and Allergies: When bringing in birthday treats, please ensure that the food labels are easily accessible to Kelsey and Madhu, our staff members at the front desk, who are responsible for allergy awareness. This allows them to check for any potential allergens that may affect students in the class.
Individually Packed Items: We kindly request that you consider providing individually packed items for birthday treats. This helps with portion control and ensures convenience for distribution. Individually packaged treats also minimize the risk of cross-contamination and promote cleanliness.
Non-Food Treats: We encourage you to explore the option of non-food treats for birthdays. Non-food items can be equally enjoyable and are a great way to celebrate while accommodating various dietary preferences and restrictions. Examples include small toys, stickers, pencils, or bookmarks.
No Class-Wide Food Items: To maintain a balanced and inclusive approach, we kindly ask that you refrain from providing class-wide food items such as pizzas or hot dishes. This helps prevent any potential disruptions to the regular meal routine and ensures that dietary restrictions are respected.
No Balloons: While we understand that balloons are often associated with celebrations, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing balloons to school. This is to maintain a safe and distraction-free environment for all students.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these guidelines. By working together, we can create inclusive celebrations that ensure the well-being of every student. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
