This morning, our JMS students gathered for their Middle School Meeting, where they learned the results of the Cookie Dough fundraiser held in preparation for their upcoming performance at the Providence Bruins game and the band competition this spring. Students were also given a small hint about what this year’s Jacobs Express STEAM Challenge will involve. While details are still under wraps, I can share that it is shaping up to be an exciting and engaging experience for students.

Tonight is the big night, as the cast of Dear Edwina Jr. takes the stage at 6:30. Cash or check will be accepted at the door. Families will also have the opportunity to enjoy the performance on Pirate TV (on Comcast Channel 22 and Verizon Channel 34) on Tuesday, December 23, at 3, 7, and 11 in both the morning and evening. The show will also be available on hulltv.net Video on Demand by searching the title of the play, no later than December 23. Tomorrow morning, our elementary students will be treated to a special matinee performance as well.

The fun continues on Tuesday with our annual Jacobs Express, a day full of activities and celebration for students. As a reminder, Tuesday is an early dismissal day and lunch will not be served. With so many exciting moments packed into the next few days, we are looking forward to closing out this stretch of school together on a high note. I hope to see many of you tonight at the show.

Our district is a member of MassPAC at the Federation for Children with Special Needs. Under the membership, families and educators have access to weekly rights workshops as listed on the attached December calendar. You can register for more than one!
