Southern Ohio Career Academy

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Southern Ohio Career Academy! We are so excited to open our doors once again and to have our halls buzzing with the energy, ambition, and promise that each of our students brings.

At SOCA, we believe in more than just traditional graduation, we’re committed to preparing every scholar for a bright and rewarding future. We’ve designed this school with pathways that lead not only to a diploma but also to recognized industry credentials, hands-on learning, and real-world readiness.

We promise you excellence: professional instructors, supportive staff, and a caring community that values each student’s unique strengths and goals. As parents, you can trust that we’re here to guide,

encourage, and partner with you every step of the way.

Let’s make this year inspiring, successful, and memorable. Welcome back!

Our community partners at Ohio University Chillicothe reached out for some help from our students at SOCA. We have scheduled 45 hours on the year with OUC and are looking forward to continuing our community service efforts.

We are excited to announce that Career Week at SOCA will begin on September 25th! Students will start the week by exploring career choices in the classroom, participating in Professionalism 101, and attending the Ross County Career Expo at Ohio University Chillicothe. Throughout the week, they will hear from guest speakers, including representatives from the U.S. Army and Early Childhood Education Centers. In addition, we will host a Professional Clothing Drive and continue with engaging activities such as Etiquette 101, writing a Letter to Their Future Self, and Career Income Planning. On the final day, several of our partner colleges will visit to provide students with valuable information about postsecondary opportunities.
