Week of September 1, 2025

Dear Falcon Families,

Here we are in September already! It's going to be a warm week. Please be sure all lunch boxes and water bottles are labeled with your Falcon's name on them. 😁

Please note and save the date; we have a new date for our September General Association PTA Meeting: September 18th at 5:30 pm in the MPR. We look forward to seeing you there. Also, if you have not had a chance yet, please join our PTA. There is a class competition for the most memberships! Thank you for supporting our PTA and ultimately, our Falcons!

This past Friday we recognized our first set of character award winners for our monthly character trait of Respect. Congrats to our Falcons who demonstrate respect on a daily basis!

Finally, as I shared at our Back to School Night presentation, please remember that teachers will make every effort to respond to emails/Seesaw/Remind messages within 24 hours of receiving them. Teachers are teaching during the school day and have very little non-student time between the beginning and end of the day. If you need to share a more immediate message, please call our school office. In general, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to the teacher first. They will likely have first hand knowledge and be your best resource to get your question answered. As mentioned at my welcome back message at BTSN, my door is always open and I love to connect with you. I do ask that you start with the teacher for initial questions/concerns and then reach out to me should you still need to. We love the parent-school partnership and are grateful to have such supportive parents as we work together to ensure your child has the best year yet!

Go Falcons! 💚

Save the Date! Event ~ Kick-off ~ 10.24.25 Save the Date! Event ~ Kick-off ~ 10.24.25

Our Fern Drive Foundation is looking for volunteers for our inaugural Falcon Dash. This fundraiser will be in place of the APEX fundraiser that we have done previously. Our Foundation will be hosting the Falcon Dash and all funds raised will go directly back to Fern Drive. To make this a success, we will need a good number of volunteers for planning, reaching out for sponsorships, etc. If you are interested in getting involved to help make this a success, please reach out to our Foundation President Kristen Jones at Ferndrivefoundation@gmail.com. See the flyer below for more information.

Lunch Menu for September Lunch Menu for September

Lunch and breakfast will continue to be free for all students daily. We will still do a lunch count daily so please discuss with your student the importance to take a correct lunch count. Some students bring a lunch to school and then at lunchtime go get a school lunch. This results in some lunch shortages of the choice meal that day. Lunch options are still available and all children will be fed but often when this happens, the "lunch of the day" runs out. Please review with students the importance of this an accurate lunch count.
