October 1st Newsletter
Hello Montessori Families!
Don't forget - there is no school tomorrow! Teachers have professional learning.
Today we held our monthly all school assembly! We celebrated students who were recognized for our September virtue of Responsibility and rolled out our October virtue of Friendliness. We also recongized students with perfect attendance and sang "Light a Candle for Peace" in recognition of last week's International Day of Peace!
As usual, time is flying by! As we enter our 2nd month of the school year, you will soon have the opportunty to connect with your child(ren)'s teacher for Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 15th and 16th. Conference sign ups will be emailed to families on Tuesday, October 6th at 8am. As a reminder, there is no school on October 15th or 16th.
Speaking of October 6th, we will be having a Brewers Spirit Day to celebrate their playoff game that evening! Go Brew Crew!!

Battle of the Books (BOB)
Is your student (4th-8th grade) interested in joining BOB?
Why Join?
To build a love of reading
To encourage students to read or listen to books they might not have chosen
To engage students in an academic team competition
To have fun!
Permission slips are due by Oct. 14.
BOB coaches are also needed. The time commitment is small. Your job is to meet with your 4-person team and encourage them. Fun quizzes and the answers will be supplied to coaches. Fresh Hot Popcorn every Tuesday
We will once again have the opportunity to order popcorn on Tuesdays. The price is $.75 per bag. Students order it on Tuesday morning and the Next Steps crew make the popcorn and deliver it same day. So yummy!
