S3Strategies Record Logs

As you know, I am required to track the use of our S3Strategies workshop over the year. I have found Google Forms the easiest way to do this. Since completing the workshop, many of you have messaged me saying you are using the resources. I hope you are continuing to find the resources provided helpful as we move closer to the end of the year (testing season). Over the next day or so, please reflect back on any and all resources used from the workshop and enter a usage record on the appropriate Google Form below. If you have used several resources multiple times, please complete a submission for each usage. (Dates can be around about.) Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Escaping Dull and Bookish: Enhancing Social Studies with Primary Sources

In this professional development, we will enact 13 hands-on methods to help students engage and analyze images. We will explore the use of games, collaborative learning opportunities, and arts-based methods to increase student engagement. Then we will apply those strategies to the development of escape games that you will design. We will explore the resources of the Library of Congress and TPS Network to identify primary and secondary sources. This project will promote the use of images and active learning strategies to help create more engaged and informed citizens.
