LMHS Updates
for parents and families ... April 21, 2024
The monthly interim grade reports (IGR) for April will be issued after 3:00pm on Friday, April 26. This is an official IGR, so grade can affect eligibility for co-curricular activities including athletics. This will be the final IGR that seniors will receive; students in grades 7-11 will receive one more on Friday, May 24.
As usual, IGRs will be sent out by email to all students and parents/guardians.
The LMHS GSA club each year sponsors Ally Week - a national youth-led effort encouraging students to be allies with the LGBT members of their community in standing against bullying and harassment. This year, Ally Week will be observed at LMHS from April 29 through May 3. While there are no special events such as assemblies associated with Ally Week, students will have the choice at a table outside the cafeteria during lunches to sign the Ally pledge, and information will be available for those students who wish to take it. The week culminates in the Day of Silence on Friday, May 3 where students who wish to participate take a vow of silence to spread awareness of the effects of bullying and harassment of LGBT students.
