❗❗Attention 8th Grade Parents/Guardians❗❗
📷Spring Portraits & Group Photo Happening on Friday, May 2nd!📷
Every Spring our 8th graders get their individual and group portraits taken. The individual portraits will appear in their Certificates of Completion that they receive at the end of the year during their "Moving on Ceremony". The 8th grade group photo is a panoramic picture. Students are encouraged to dress nice for these pictures...this does not mean formal per se, but a plain colored shirt versus a big graphic will photograph much nicer😀.
If you would like prints of your student's individual portrait or the panoramic group photo, you may pre-order online with the info in this flyer OR 8th graders will be given paper order forms in the next week that you may put cash or check in to send with your student on May 2nd to give to the Lifetouch photographer.
Art & STEAM Program Fundraiser
Our ever-so-awesome teacher Joe Hass and his students in the CTE/STEAM program are raising funds to purchase new machines, tools, and class materials for Art and Wood Shop.
This program benefits all grades - 6th, 7th , and 8th - preparing the students for CTE programs in High School. With increasing popularity for the program, we are quickly running out of hardwood and other materials. We appreciate any and all shares and donations!

Outside Drinks (Dutch Bros, Energy Drinks, Sodas, ect)
Parents,
As a school, we only allow water inside classrooms during the school day. Any outside beverages purchased before school, must be consumed or disposed of before students are allowed into class. Please help us in helping your student by being mindful of drinks purchased close to school start time. We want to ensure students have ample time to finish them before the school day begins at 8:15 am.

Briggs Website:
Informational Tidbits
Cell Phone Policy: Students that bring cell phones and other electronics to the school will need to have them turned off and put away during the school hours from 8:15 to 3:05 every day. If students need to contact a parent, they should come down to the office to do so. Please help us to enforce this expectation so students can concentrate on their classes and school work while at school. You can view our cell phone policy HERE.
Sports: We are excited to partner with Willamalane to provide after school sports. Students who are planning on participating in our fall sports of flag football, cross country, or volleyball can now register at the Willamalane website (www.willamalane.org) under “Youth Sports”. Fall sports will start on September 20th.
Briggs Online Gear
We are excited to have our very own online store. 10% of all proceeds come back to Briggs Middle School. There are plenty of designs to choose from and we love seeing students, parents, and community supporters rep our merch. Feel free to visit the store and check it out.
