HAVE A GREAT WEEK!š¾šš
Message from Principal Ludford
Dear Beaubien Bulldog Families,
Itās hard to believe how quickly time is passingāWinter Break feels like it was just yesterday, and now we have reached the end of the first semester! This is a great opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with your child about their learning journey.
Over the years, I have observed several key traits that consistently contribute to student success. I encourage you to discuss these with your child to support their academic growth:
Attendance ā Students who excel academically maintain strong attendance records. Being present every day and arriving on time ensures they do not miss valuable instructional time.
Participation ā Successful students are actively engaged in their learning. During my classroom visits, I consistently see high-achieving students contributing to discussions, asking thoughtful questions, and collaborating with their peers. Encourage your child to participate fully in class.
Perseverance ā The ability to embrace challenges and persist through difficulties is essential for lifelong success. At Beaubien, we strive to instill a growth mindset, encouraging students to put forth their best effort even when faced with obstacles. Our most successful students demonstrate resilience and determination, and we hope you will reinforce this mindset at home as well.
As we begin Black History Month, our dedicated teachers will highlight Black history in classrooms, while continuing to integrate it into the curriculum throughout the year. At Beaubien, we recognize that Black history is American history, and we are committed to providing our students with a deeper understanding of its significance. For families interested in learning more, we encourage you to explore this valuable resource used by our educators: National Museum of African American History and Culture.
We are also excited to celebrate National School Counseling Week! This yearās theme, "School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive," recognizes the invaluable role of our school counselors. Letās take a moment to show appreciation for Ms. Koet and Ms. Kearney with a kind note or small token of gratitude. We are incredibly fortunate to have them supporting our students.
As always, we appreciate your partnership in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Wishing all our families a joyful and love-filled Valentineās Day!
Best regards,
Michelle H. Ludford, Principal
