From The Principal's Desk...
Goose Bay Families,
As we enter the month of February, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and engagement in your child’s education. The partnership we share is vital in ensuring that each student grows and thrives, both academically and personally.
A Month of Love and Kindness
February is a month filled with opportunities to celebrate love, kindness, and community. We will be focusing on important character traits like respect and kindness throughout the month. These values are integral to our school community, and we encourage you to reinforce them at home as well.
Parent-Teacher Conferences February 10 & 17
It’s hard to believe, but we are getting ready for our second round of Parent-Teacher Conferences! This is a great time to celebrate your child’s progress and set new goals for the remainder of the year. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to connect with your child’s teacher.
Winter Weather Reminders
As the weather continues to be unpredictable, please be sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the colder temperatures. Layering is always a good idea, and please ensure that your child has a warm coat, hat, gloves, snowpants, and boots.
As always, thank you for your continued involvement in our school community. Your support makes a world of difference in the lives of our students, and we are grateful to work alongside you in supporting your child’s educational journey.
Wishing you all a warm, joyful, and love-filled February!
In partnership and support,
Ayla Wade – PROUD Principal

From The Nurse...
Hello Goose Bay Families,
As the winter flu and cold season is still upon us, it is important to prevent the spread of germs! Staying home when sick and frequent handwashing with warm soapy water is our best defense against germs! I always tell our students that HANDWASHING IS YOUR SUPERPOWER! Please see the flyer below for when to keep your sick child home.
Snow Gear
Please remember to send your students to school with all FIVE pieces of winter gear (gloves, hat, boots, pants, coat) every day. I have several students per day missing snow gear. Students go outside in weather up to -10F and need all of the gear to stay safe and warm. If you are unable to purchase these items I am happy to help so please let me know.
*P.S. The Nurse's Closet needs warm winter boots in good condition. Thanks for checking your closets! (sizes 9/10 11/12 and 13/1 only )
Please reach out with any questions, I am here to support our families in any way I can!
