ELA- Ms. Kraushaar
This week’s focus was on adding meaningful dialogue to our blog posts. We reduced the amount of blogs to 2 per week, and students are also asked to comment on 3 other writers’ blogs.
Next week, we’ll be focusing on figurative language and how it helps make our writing more exciting!
Social Studies- Mr. Cahn
This was a week of art and culture, in part to demonstrate that the Middle Ages in Europe weren’t completely dark ages. Students created their own illuminated quote as a nod to the monks and nuns who helped preserve wisdom from that period.
Next week our focus will turn to shifting power structures under a capable central leader and then a series of invasions.
