May Greetings!

It's hard to believe we are in the last month of the school year! Our fifth grade musical was a hit and it is very possible some caught the performance bug. We may just see our students performing on middle school and high school stages in the years to come. Well done students! And, thank you to Mrs. Ecos for the many weeks of planning and practice for the final performance.

As we reach the close of another wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to our students, staff, and families for making this year a terrific one. Our days have been filled with learning, growth, and memorable moments that reflect the warm community of learners at Brookside. Our students have demonstrated tremendous perseverance, curiosity, and kindness throughout the year. Whether it was mastering new math concepts, exploring literature, participating in the arts, or building friendships, they celebrated many successes. Thank you to teachers and staff for their tireless commitment to our students’ growth and well-being. Your passion and professionalism inspire us all. Families, your support, care, and involvement have been invaluable! I am a firm believer that school is truly an extension of a home and it has been nothing but a joy to partner with all of you this year. The next few weeks will go by quickly and there are many events going on in our classrooms. Please be sure you stay in touch with your child's teacher and watch for any updates.

As we look forward to the summer, I encourage everyone to continue learning through enjoyable and meaningful ways—read together, explore the outdoors, and enjoy time as a family.

We’re already excited for what lies ahead next school year. Until then, I wish you all a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer break!

Our awesome Brookside Bobcats laced up for our annual Bobcat Walk. All funds support Brookside BASH, which is our last day of school fun, and the 5th graders class gift. Your donation, big or small, helped make it happen. The PTA will share grade level totals as well as the grand total shortly. Thank you, to all who donated!

Brookside Bash Brookside Bash

It’s also almost time for our annual Brookside Bash! This is a field day celebration on the last day of school (May 22) with numerous games/activity stations set up outside of the school that classes will rotate through. In order to help this go smoothly, the PTA is looking for parent volunteers to help oversee each station throughout the day. Directions for each game/activity will be provided at the stations. We have shifts available for morning only, afternoon only or all-day. Lunch will be provided for anyone who is volunteering for an all-day shift. We also have volunteer opportunities to help kids tie dye t-shirts with Ms. Murray in art class or to help with washing the shirts after they’ve been tie-dyed. Below are links for each volunteer opportunity. Please consider helping us celebrate another wonderful school year!

For the safety of children, do not send any nut or peanut items to school in your child's lunch, snack, or school party item as we are a nut and peanut free school. It could literally mean life or death to another child. Thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance.
