Middle School Lost & Found
Our middle school lost and found is quickly growing! If your student is missing a water bottle, hoodie, school folder, or another item, please encourage them to check the lost and found between classes to take a look. Lost & Found is located right inside of Door D.
Lost & Found items are typically donated at the end of every month. I will have everything set out on November 12th for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
*As a reminder, please label your studentβs lunchbox and water bottle with their name. Thank you!

The Whiteford Value for October is Inclusion
For the month of October, the Whiteford value for our entire district is inclusion. Inclusion means making sure everyone has a genuine opportunity to participate, belong and get the support they need. Remind your students to include others at lunch & recess, to be kind in the hallway and to treat others as they would want to be treated!

Whiteford and Summerfield may be rivals on the football field, but some moments remind us that there are things far more important than the game. At the Middle School Football game hosted by Summerfield on October 15, players and coaches from both schools came together to honor Summerfield student-athlete, Conor Harrigan. It's moments like these that make us proud to be part of small communities. Communities where, despite the rivalry, we stand together when it matters most. Where sportsmanship, compassion, and respect mean more than any scoreboard.
We want to recognize the young men from both Whiteford and Summerfield for the incredible respect and character they demonstrated during this moment. You represented your schools and communities in a way that should make everyone proud. A special thank you to the coaches from both programs for taking the time to honor Conor and reminding these young athletes that some things are simply bigger than football.
WEEKLY ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
Athletic eligibility is checked weekly for all middle and high school student-athletes. Parents will receive an Infinite Campus alert from their building office if their student has a D or F in any class on Fridays, and the Athletic Office will begin reaching out to Athletes that are failing courses on Monday.
Student-athletes are encouraged to start the year strong, stay on top of assignments, and communicate with their teachers.
Student Grades and Attendance Reporting
Infinite Campus Parent Portal: Student Registration, marking period and semester grades, credits, and attendance are always visible in the Parent Portal throughout the school year. An app can be downloaded to your phone, or you can click HERE

Here is a Schoology Parent Account video sharing introductory information about Schoology. If your family has yet to access Schoology or downloaded the App for your phone, you can email your childβs teacher for log-in details or contact Ashley Van Camp at ashley.vancamp@whiteford.k12.mi.us for support.
Infinite Campus Attendance Update : Parents and guardians will now receive an automated phone call if their student is marked as an unexcused absence during the first two hours of the school day. If your student will be absent, please contact the attendance line as soon as possible.
