💜Support Tokay’s PRIDE Store! 💛
At Tokay High School, we love celebrating our students for showing what it means to have Tiger PRIDE — Personal Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence!
Students earn PRIDE Points through Minga when they demonstrate positive behavior, take responsibility, or go the extra mile around campus. They can then use those points to “shop” in our PRIDE Store, where they can buy fun prizes, school supplies, spirit gear, snacks, and more!
The PRIDE Store is completely supported by donations from our amazing community. Every item helps motivate students to make good choices, stay engaged, and take pride in being a Tokay Tiger.
If you’d like to help support our students, please click the link below to donate. Your generosity makes a huge difference in keeping our Tigers inspired and excited to learn! 🐯💜💛

Graduation Requirement Update
Dear Tokay High School Students and Families,
We are writing to share an important update regarding high school graduation requirements that was approved at a recent Board of Education meeting.
Lodi Unified School District has revised its graduation policy to provide students with greater flexibility in how they meet certain course requirements. Previously, students were expected to complete a 10- credit “freshman pathway” during their 9th grade year. This requirement has now been expanded.
What’s Changing?
Students are now able to complete the required coursework at any time during grades 9–12, rather than only during their freshman year. This shift allows students more choice in aligning their courses with their interests, postsecondary goals, and overall high school plans.
Approved Course Options
Students may meet this requirement through a variety of Board-approved courses, including:
● High School 101
● Driver’s Ed
● Health
● Family Living
● World Geography
● AVID
● Seminar 101
● Freshman Frontier
● Sophomore Summit
● Junior Journey
● Senior Soar
● AP Human Geography
● Ethnic Studies
○ Note: Several courses may meet the Ethnic Studies requirement per California regulations.
What This Means for You
This update provides increased flexibility and access to courses that support college, career, and personal interests. Students and families are encouraged to review upcoming course selections to ensure they align with individual goals and graduation requirements.
If you would like to make changes to your course requests or have questions about how this impacts your student’s plan, please reach out to your school counselor for support.
We look forward to continuing to support all students in achieving success throughout their high school experience.

SENIORS: Graduation is right around the corner—make sure you’re ready! All outstanding debts must be cleared before graduation. This includes any overdue books or fines, even from elementary school. Please return items or pay fines at Student Services as soon as possible. Seniors with unpaid balances on graduation day will receive the “call of shame” during practice. To avoid any issues, check with the library or Student Services to see if you have any outstanding balances. Fines can only be paid in cash and are due this week. If you have questions, stop by Student Services. Don’t wait—take care of this now so you can enjoy your graduation day!
SENIORS: The Cal Grant Community College Entitlement Award is available for students planning to attend a California Community College (CCC). To be considered, students must submit either a FAFSA or a California Dream Act Application, along with a verified Cal Grant GPA, to the California Student Aid Commission by September 2, 2026. If you missed the March 2 deadline, it’s not too late—there’s still time to apply! Click the link below to find out more:

BE PRESENT: Phones down, heads up. Lodi USD is committed to creating connections in the classroom. Starting this school year, students will be expected to keep their phones turned off during the school day - including lunches, breaks, and passing periods - as part of the district-wide initiative to Be Present. This initiative is designed to support a more focused learning environment while encouraging real, in-person connection outside of the digital world.
Please talk with your student(s) about this new initiative and the positive benefits associated with disconnecting during the school day. We believe that this initiative, over time, will support a more focused learning environment and encourage student connection outside of the digital world. You can find more information on the policy, the benefits, and frequently asked questions here.
