There is no school on Friday, April 26, 2024, as this is a scheduled day off/unassigned day. Classes resume on Monday, April 29, 2024

Students in Grade 5 will continue to complete annual state assessments next week. Please be sure students fully charge their Chromebooks before each school day and that devices are at school daily. A good night of sleep and breakfast are very important for students to be ready for the test sessions. Discuss with students that they will be using all their skills and knowledge to answer questions on the assessments. Encourage your child to do their best and to have perseverance working through the questions and tasks. Any students in Grades 3 and 4 who have not completed a portion of the sate assessment will work on them next week as well.

The changes to the specials schedule for Grade 2 and Grade 5 will continue.

• Grade 2 - 9:00 to 9:50
• Grade 5 - 1:15 to 2:05 p.m.

Field Day will be the morning of Friday, May 10, 2024. Students will participate in a variety of activities in the morning. Classroom teachers may request volunteers to assist their class as they go through the activities during Field Day - please check with your child's teacher about being a volunteer with the class. The school is also seeking volunteers to help with setting up and running stations. If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out this GOOGLE FORM. As LWJES is a closed campus, we will not have gates open for family members to be spectators for Field Day.
