Welcome back to school Lil' Raiders Preschool students and families! We are so excited to begin another year filled with fun and learning! Our first day of school is Monday, August 24th.

As we prepare for a great year, here are a few reminders to ensure that your student has a successful school year:

Preschool Hours

Our session times for this school year are:

AM Session 8:35 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.

PM Session 12:20 p.m. - 3:10 p.m.

Name Labeling

Please be sure that your child has their name labeled on their bookbag, snack box, and any other personal items in their bookbag. You will also be given a dismissal tag at Meet and Greets to attach to your child's book bag - this ensures our staff know where students are to be dismissed and gets them to the correct spot at the end of the day. Please be sure this stays on their bookbag throughout the year!

Communication

We will continue to utilize the district-wide communication app Talking Points, where you will have the ability to communicate directly with your child's teacher and receive district news and updates. Students will be connected to your child's teacher in Talking Points no later than the first day of school. If your child is going to be absent, picked up early, or needs alternative transportation, please call our front office at 614-501-4051. Our teachers may not be able to receive or respond to time sensitive messages during instructional time.

What to Bring

Students should bring a book bag daily with a healthy snack packed. They should also have a change of clothes available. Teachers will provide their own supply lists to families prior to or at Meet and Greets.

What to Expect at Meet and Greets

If you have not already scheduled your child's Meet and Greet, please call our front office at 614-501-4051 to schedule. During this opportunity to see the classroom and meet your child's teaching team, families will also be asked to complete annual student forms during their appointment. If may be helpful to have emergency and preferred doctor office phone numbers available.

Bus Riders

Students with bus transportation will receive their routing information at Meet and Greets. If you have questions please call our office at 614-501-4051. Reminder, preschool transportation is only provided to students with disabilities or those students who have been approved for the Early Childhood Education Grant/Ohio Preschool Program, which is managed by Ohio Job and Family Services.

Car Riders

1. Parents remain in their cars during pick up and drop off.
2. All families will be provided a colored card with their child's name on it.
3. Cards MUST be in the front passenger window of your car.
4. Please be aware of the bus crossing to the back lot and do not block it.
5. Students may get out of the car when assisted by staff when the car pulls up to the drop off zone.
6. As you approach the drop off zone, please be sure your child's backpack and other items are ready for staff. If possible, have your child's seat located on the passenger side. It is okay to have them unbuckled and ready to get out of the car.
7. After you have dropped off your child, please pull forward and exit onto Livingston Avenue at the traffic light.
8. Pick up will follow the same rules in reverse. Staff do not fasten your child due to safety laws. Please pull forward until you are clear of the line and then fasten your child if needed.
9. You MUST have your colored card for your child to be released.

AM Session - drop off is between 8:25 - 8:35 a.m., pick up is between 11:15 - 11:25 a.m.

PM Session - drop off is between 12:20 - 12:30 p.m., pick up is between 3:00 - 3:10 p.m.

Students MUST be picked up during pick up times. Late pick ups are NOT permitted at any time during the school year. All students and staff will be dismissed by 3:15 p.m. There is no supervision available after 3:15, so please be mindful of dismissal times and make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
