KAES Keenections

This week we’ve been celebrating someone very special to all of us—Mrs. Mimi! Our students have been spreading the love with cards, songs and gifts to show just how much she means to our KAES family. We want to take one more moment to wish Mrs. Mimi the happiest of birthdays! We are so grateful for her kindness, hard work and all the joy she brings to our school.

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Mimi! 🎉🎂

We are so proud of the growth our students have shown in their learning this year. Most of our students have completed their MAP Growth testing this week, and teachers will be sending home the results over the next week or so.

Please take some time to review your child’s results, and if you have any questions or would like more information about the test or your child's performance, don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher. We are here to help and are happy to discuss any aspect of their progress to support their continued success.

Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education!

Next week, starting Thursday, our gym and gym parking lot will be hosting the annual SWAU Hoops Tournament. While we’re thrilled to be part of this exciting event, it may mean that pickup times could take a little longer than usual. We’ll do our best to keep dismissal smooth and efficient, but we ask for your patience as the line might get backed up.

If you’re a basketball fan, you’ll definitely want to root for our KAES Middle School Girls’ Team! They’ve been invited to participate in this high school tournament, and we couldn’t be more proud. Go Eagles! 🦅🏀

Please remember that we will be closed on Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday.

See you back on Tuesday!

Our jacket rack has become quite the mystery zone—it's a place where lost jackets go to find their owner, but apparently, not enough owners are visiting to claim them! Jackets are arriving daily, and they’re starting to feel a little forgotten.

We need your help! Please stop by and take a look for your child’s missing jacket. The jacket rack is waiting for you—and your child’s cozy coat could be there, too, just waiting for its reunion.

We promise it’ll be a quick and easy trip to help bring some warmth (and closure!) to those lonely jackets.

Last week, our 5th and 6th grade teams had the exciting opportunity to participate in a basketball skills lab hosted by the SWAU Knights! It was a fantastic chance for our students to improve their basketball fundamentals while having fun and building connections with the SWAU team.

The students enjoyed learning new techniques, practicing their skills, and making new friends. A big thank you to the SWAU Knights for making this experience possible!

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day.
