GLOBE Annual Fund Appeal

Dear GLOBE families,

The Annual Fund is The GLOBE Academy's most important fundraiser of the year—and it directly supports your child’s learning experience.

As a free public charter school, GLOBE does not charge tuition. Unlike traditional public schools, we also do not receive SPLOST funding, which most schools use to fund maintenance and capital improvements. This means that many essentials other schools take for granted must be paid for through private support from our community.

The Annual Fund allows GLOBE to continue providing the exceptional dual language immersion education and enriching experiences that brought so many of us here in the first place.

Our Goal for 2025–2026

Participation matters just as much as dollars. Every gift—no matter the size—shows that our families believe in and invest in GLOBE.

We have raised $107,820, which is 72% towards our goal of $150,000! Let’s end this year strong together and give our amazing GLOBE community the resources it needs to truly serve its community at its best.

Why Now?

The GLOBE Academy, along with other DeKalb charter schools, is facing significant budget cuts. The Annual Fund helps close this gap in the most efficient way possible:

100% of Annual Fund donations go directly to school operations
Funds are unrestricted, allowing GLOBE to respond quickly to the areas of greatest need

Other fundraising efforts—such as GLOBE Trot, Hootenanny (run by PTCC) and Square One Art—are valuable and community‑building, but they also require substantial time, volunteers and expenses to run. The Annual Fund is the most flexible and impactful way to support our school.

What Does the Annual Fund Support?

Your Annual Fund gift directly supports:

Dual language immersion programming
Classroom instruction and academic resources
Extracurricular and enrichment opportunities
Technology, equipment, and software upgrades
Facility improvements and campus upkeep
Strategic planning for GLOBE’s future
Faculty salaries, training, and professional development

Simply put: The Annual Fund helps GLOBE thrive today and remain strong for the future.

How Much Should I Give?

The suggested annual donation is $400 per student (about $2 per school day/$34 per month).

That said, we ask each family to give a gift that is meaningful and comfortable for them.
Participation is what matters most.
