Good Morning,

Read Across America Week was a great success! Classrooms celebrated the joy of reading by listening to many of the iconic stories of Theodore Seuss Geisel, famously known as Dr. Seuss. Our classrooms were filled with silly rhymes, engaging activities and lots of laughter as favorites such as The Sleep Book, The Cat in the Hat, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue fish and Hooray for Diffendoofer were read. To celebrate in true Seuss style, students and staff showed off their creativity by wearing silly hats. The students enjoyed themed activities and playful learning inspired by these the world of Dr. Seuss. The coziest day of the week was pajama day!

WECC welcomed guest readers throughout the week! Parents, WPS staff, community members and former students visited our classrooms to read aloud and share their love of books. Thank you to everyone who volunteered - we truly appreciate your time and enthusiasm.

Reading helps build language, imagination and a lifelong love of reading. We are so proud of our students for being such wonderful listeners and book lovers. Thank you for your continued support in making reading an important and joyful part of your child's life.

Upcoming Parent event:

Weymouth CFCE is sponsoring a FREE, family-friendly Parent Workshop open to all Weymouth families who would like to attend! This workshop will be presented by Mrs. Costa, WECC School Adjustment Counselor, and Mrs. Magner, WECC Special Education Teacher. They will share helpful information and practical strategies to support and promote children’s social and emotional development. Please use the QR code below to register for this free event. We hope you can join us!

Unfortunately, our lock box is still out of order. Families may send in a check in their child’s folder. If you plan to send cash, please bring it to the front office so a receipt can be provided. Thank you for your cooperation.

Tuesday, March 10, 2026 is a professional development day and all students will be dismissed at 10:45.
As safety is a top priority, please be ready to provide our staff with a picture ID, if requested. We thank you for understanding this important safety protocol.

Her warm smile, kind words, and willingness to help made our front office feel welcoming and supportive for everyone who entered. We wish her all the very best and thank her for the kindness, care, and joy she brought to the WECC community every day. She will be missed!
