This week we will have an altered bell schedule on Tuesday 8/19/25 due to the student late start/early morning work session.

We successfully welcomed over 2700 Vikings back into the halls of Fremd High School last week. Students were encouraged to live up to the pillars of being Mighty, Brave and Bold through a series of small activities orchestrated through a built in activity period. They participated in various safety drills throughout the week. The week finished with a welcome back assembly in the main gym.

The safety of our students and staff are our highest priority before school. If your child is driven to school please keep the following safety tips/reminders in mind:

If you are dropping students off in the neighborhoods around Fremd they should be utilizing the designated crosswalks to cross Illinois Avenue and/or Quentin Road.
If you are dropping students off on eastbound Illinois (along the school building) please make sure you have a heightened awareness of pedestrians in the area.
If you are dropping students off in the parking lots, please allow them to exit your vehicle and then proceed along the traffic route - do not stop traffic to watch your student enter the building.

Let's partner together to provide a safe start to each day.

Please make sure to mark your calendar for our annual parent open house on Thursday 8/28/25.

More information will be coming out closer to the date. Classes end at 11:50 that day. The event begins promptly at 7:00pm.

On the morning of open house (Thursday, August 28), all Juniors will be taking the practice ACT test during school hours. Please see Mr. Newmark in the Intervention Office with any questions.

Wondering what this code means on your child's attendance? This is the code that designates a student has scanned into either the cafeteria, study hall or media center and that they are "present" for the period.

Congratulations to our students who are being inducted into the National Honors Society on Tuesday August 26, 2025. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.

Families - although you are not able to enroll in the course as a family member, you can follow Fremd Events notifications if your child is enrolled and if your notifications are set to alert you of course updates.
