Dream Big, Fly High
Martinez Early Learning Center is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and innovative learning environment for our students, that encompasses kindness and fosters foundational skills for all students to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
Meet and Greet
We are eager to meet all our new students and families. We will open the school on August 10, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for you to come and meet the teacher and see our amazing school. Visiting the school helps students to feel safer the first day of classes and also families to feel more comfortable. We look forward to see you there!
Arrival and Dismissal Explanation
Families at Martinez are amazing. When you come to pick up your child you need to keep your attention to the line and use your kindness in the entrance. We count on you to make sure cars move fast and you get more time with your family and less time in lines.
Please note,
- Only enter the school property through Boone Loop Rd. The driveway in Adamsborough Dr. is only an exit. We do this to make the flow of traffic easier and avoid blocking our neighbors' street.
- In the afternoon, enter one and one from Boone Loop Rd. Also, allow cars to exit. If we cannot clear the driveway inside, we will not be bale to allow more cars in.
Children and staff work to make dismissal as fast as possible, we count on you to do your part to make this process fast and efficient.
Advice for the First Day of School
School will start on Wednesday August 12th. For many of our students, this is going to be the first time in school and away from family from 8:00 to 3:40. This is a big transition and your child will look to you to know school is safe place. Here are some tips from our counselor for the first days of school.
Uniform Policy
Martinez ELC is a caring family. One of the way we show we belong together is with our uniforms. Students can wear the following clothes:
- Pants/Shorts: navy, khaki, or solid blue demin
- Skirts/skorts: navy, khaki, or solid blue demin
- Jumpers: navy, khaki, or solid blue demin
- Shirts: Any solid color or a school spirit shirt
We recommend students wear tennis shoes to make their time in the playground safer. They will wear their shoes all day, including during rest time for safety reasons. Also consider, students need to be able to work their own clothes when using the restrooms.
Dismissal Routes
Your child will be waiting all day to reunite with you. We want to make sure the process is safe and as fast as possible. You can help to make this process as efficient as possible by following the correct route, paying attention to the line and arriving on time. We start forming the lines of cars at 2:40. We start releasing students to the cars at 3:40. Students are released to parents in the front after 3:55 or when car rider lines end. When you are picking up your child, do not leave your car. A staff member will open the door, help your child on board of the vehicle, and close the door. Once you child is on the vehicle, please proceed to the exit.
