Welcome, Freshmen!

Freshmen Only Day was held on Tuesday, August 25th as a kick off to a new year at SHS. The nearly 90 students of the class of 2030 spent the day getting to know the school building, staff, and expectations by sharing a breakfast served by volunteer upperclassmen, participating in a scavenger hunt, meeting teachers in a shortened class schedule, and learning about the different clubs and activities offered at SHS. Students also took advantage of the photo booth to document their first day of high school. SHS staff are looking forward to helping these freshmen make a smooth transition to high school.

Back to Work!

Even upperclassmen need a tour! Pictured above, juniors in Mr. Bartlett's American History class complete a mini-scavenger hunt to check out all the information and cool memorabilia found in the classroom.

Get Caught Doing Something Good!

A shout out to CHESNIE ANDERSON this week for stepping up and helping out.

Chesnie took the initiative to welcome a new student to SHS, and made sure they had a friendly face to sit with at lunch.

She also reached out to staff to see if help was needed on Freshman Only Day. Along with other awesome senior girls, she helped serve and clean up breakfast for the new students.
