Week of September 7, 2026

RES SundayMessageWeek of September 7, 2026

Please remember that there will be no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. We hope everyone enjoys the extra time to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday, September 8, ready for another great week of learning!

VALLSS Testing Information

Please see the attached letter about our upcoming VALLSS testing: VALLSS Prescreening Notification

Attendance Awareness Month

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Regular school attendance helps students build strong academic habits, stay connected with their friends, and feel confident in their learning. Throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating why attendance matters with fun activities and incentives, while encouraging every Roadrunner to make being at school each day a priority. Thank you for partnering with us to help your child show up, learn, grow, and succeed!

Join the LEGO Robotics Team!

Fourth- and fifth-grade students interested in joining the LEGO Robotics Team should print and complete an application, then return it by September 11. Please make sure the application is printed so students can complete their section themselves. A printed copy may also be requested from the student’s teacher. Students who participated last year must also submit a new application. Space is limited to 10 team members. Application: https://glnd.us/5VQGW

My Child Is Absent! What do I do?

We are launching a new method to report student absences. Please complete the Attendance Form if your child is sick and will not be attending school. You no longer need to call or email the office with this information. It is still helpful for you to inform your child's teacher via email of their absence.

KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME IF:

a) your child has a temperature of 100 degrees F or greater. Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication to return to school.

b) your child has the flu or any variant of COVID-19, is vomiting, has diarrhea, impetigo, conjunctivitis (pink eye), chicken pox, or strep throat.

c) your child has lice. Please notify the school if your child contracts lice. Children must not return to school until treated. Proof of treatment must be brought to school on date of return.

What's New at Randolph? What's New at Randolph?

Girls on the Run

We’re excited to offer Girls on the Run again this year! This is an inspiring program designed for girls in grades 3–5 that combines physical activity with lessons that build confidence, friendships, teamwork, and positive life skills. Girls will train together while learning to be strong, kind, and confident both on and off the track. The program meets twice a week at Randolph on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30–3:45 p.m. The season begins September 16 and concludes with a celebratory 5K run on November 22. We look forward to encouraging our girls as they grow, connect, and accomplish this exciting goal together!
