The Cub Hub
The Weekly Newsletter of Bear Creek Elementary
AUGUST 21, 2026
Dear Bear Creek Families,
What an amazing first week of school! It was a blessing to see so many returning students and meet new families as well. Thank you for assisting each other when we launch the new year. Processes are already smoothly in place. This allows our teachers to focus on academics quickly.
Personally, I just want to thank you all for sending us students who are kind, polite and ready to learn. It is obvious that our community values education and respect for educators. Our team appreciates your support.
Get ready to kick off the school year at our annual Bear Creek Limits (BCL) Fall Festival! BCL
2026 will take place on Friday, September 25th, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, outdoors on the Bear
Creek campus.
BCL is an evening of fun for the entire family and a chance for our community to come together
and celebrate our Cub Pride. From delicious food trucks, to kid-friendly games, to thrilling
carnival-style attractions… there’s something for everyone! Will you fly high on the Eurobungy?
Rock out with the DJ and live performances? Or maybe you’ll get your face painted and send
your teacher for a SPLASH in the dunk tank?! We're cranking up the FUN meter at BCL and
hope you’ll join us!
Wristbands are required for each child participating in BCL and pre-sales are now open. CLICK
HERE to purchase your wristband today! Pre-Sales end (and prices increase!) on September
18th, so snag one today.
The PTA is hard at work creating this memorable experience for our community and we look
forward to celebrating with your family. If you’d like to help us plan this amazing event, please
contact bearcreeklimits@gmail.com for more information!

You can always look back at past Cub Hubs. However, I will leave a few items from last week. As we assure that all families have emails in the system, this allows everyone to receive the important onboarding information.
No lunch visitors the first two weeks of school. This allows our students and staff to polish routines and tighten systems. Thank you for your assistance with this. When packing your child's lunch, make sure that items packed are ones that they can open themselves.
Please familiarize yourself with the Bear Creek Parent-Student Handbook.
Here is the Bear Creek Staff for the 2026-2027 school year!
Sincerely,
Principal
MATH PENTATHLON
Math Pentathlon is a hands-on math enrichment program for students in Grades K–7 that uses fun, strategic board games to develop problem-solving, critical-thinking, logical reasoning, and spatial skills.
Rather than learning through worksheets, students build mathematical thinking by playing, strategizing, and solving problems together in a supportive environment.
We are exploring a pilot for Kindergarten and 1st Grade this school year, with the goal of expanding to additional grades as student interest and parent volunteer support grow.
USE THIS FORM TO JOIN THE FUN!
