Reminders
*We don't eat lunch until 1:20, so please send a snack (or three) with your child every day.
*Please send a spill proof water bottle each day.
*Volunteer 101 must be completed to volunteer at the school or on field trips. This can be completed on your own at anytime. See Mrs. Elgin's newsletter for more information.

8/19 - PTO Meeting in the cafeteria at 9:30. Room mom information will be given at this meeting.

Reading
Story of the Week: Sylvie
We will make and correct or confirm predictions using text features, characteristics of genre, and structures with adult assistance.
Grammar
We will practice learning our color words. In addition, we will discuss where capital letters are used.
Writing
We will use a circle map as a way to collect ideas. We will also learn about subject and predicate and what makes a sentence a complete sentence.
Math
We will be collecting and organizing information to be put in a pictograph or a bar graph.
Science
We will discuss what a scientist does and learn about safety in a science classroom.
Social Studies
We will continue to practice rules, procedures, and citizenship.
