ARRIVAL TO SCHOOL

Our doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast service begins at 7:40 a.m. Staff will direct students to the appropriate areas throughout the building. The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m.

Parents are welcome to walk thier children down to the gym or music room to start the day the first two days of schools. Past that time, we'd ask that you allow our staff and big buddies to help our students find their way.

If you are dropping off your child, please follow the safety arrows to ensure a safe flow of traffic for everyone. There will be cones placed in the 2nd and 3rd drop off lanes for morning arrival, which is at the front main entrance. Reducing the drop of lane to one will maximize the students’ safety as they will be curbside. Please DO NOT park in the drop off lane. There are parking spots available if you would like to walk your child to the door or need to come into the office. As you are exiting the parking lot, please refrain from crossing through the parking lot. Follow the circle around to exit on Route W or Veterans Rd.

Our kindergarten and 1st grade students will begin their day in the music room, while students in grade 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be in the gym. Teachers will pick up their students from these locations at 8:10 a.m. Once in the classroom, our students will participate in “soft starts”. This allows the students to get acclimated to the day and offers the teacher an opportunity to check in with each child.

MEDICAL NEEDS

Nurse Nicole is here to assist you with any medical needs your child has. If medications are needing to be distributed at school, we have a specific form for you to complete. Please stop in and visit with Nurse Nicole anytime the week of August 19.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Car dismissal takes place in the “Dismissal Loop” on the west side of the building, next to the gym. You will enter from Veterans Road and follow the arrows to the holding spots. Please note that dismissal will take longer the first few days of school. Our car dismissal begins at 3:05 p.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. Please refrain from arriving prior to 2:45 p.m. as we need to keep the area open for athletes coming to the sports complex. Please follow the listed guidelines to ensure our car dismissal runs swift and efficiently.

  • All car passengers must remain in their vehicles at all times.

  • Please have your car rider card, that you'll recieve at our Meet the Teacher event, displayed in your front window, visible to our supervisor.

  • If the card is not visible, and we don’t recognize the driver, we will have the driver pull up to one of the marked holding spots to check the driver’s identification and then contact the parent/guardian about the change.

  • If you have a change for the day and that person doesn’t have a tag, please contact our office before 2:00 p.m. so we can inform our dismissal staff and avoid delaying your pick up.

  • 20 cars will be loaded at at time. Your child will be dismissed when you arrive in one of the holding spots. You will be signaled when all cars are filled and the line is dismissed.

  • If you have school business to conduct at the end of the day, please park in the front lot and come in. *The front lot is our bus loop and only necessary traffic will be permitted from 2:45-3:45 p.m.

There is an annual $20 technoology usage fee that will be waived this year if you complete the Free/Reduced Meal application. The application will be made available to you at our Meet the Teacher event. Everyone is being asked to complete the application regardless of your household income.
You only need to complete one application per household.
