ECLC Peek at The Week

A Message from the Principal
Welcome to Welcome Week!
On Monday we officially kick off our Welcome Week with the Popsicles with the Principal playdate from 5–6pm. I’ll be there with popsicles, and I hope you’ll join in this fun chance to connect before the year begins. On Thursday we’ll enjoy the Meet & Greet from 1:30pm-2:30. This is all a time to assure a smooth transitions for the First Day of School on Monday, August 31st.
These “firsts” are wonderful opportunities to help your child feel confident about this new beginning. One of the best gifts you can give your child is your trust, trust that they will be safe, cared for, and capable of thriving at school. A simple, positive message such as, “I know you’re ready, and I can’t wait to hear about your day,” can go a long way in helping children separate with confidence and pride.
We can’t wait to partner with you in making this a joyful and successful start to the year!
Respectfully,
Laura

Traffic Flow: Drive slowly around the outer edge of the lot toward the school steps. Do not block the Rec lot entrance (this is the exit route).

2. Helpful Hints
Place children on the passenger side with belongings packed and ready.
Keep children buckled until stopped in the zone, and keep hands/heads inside windows.
First Day "Park & Walk" Only
First Day: You may park in marked spots (no parking on Ramsdell Lane) and walk your child to the front door.
After Day 1: The parking lot closes; all families must use the Car Rider loop or Bus system. Do not park at the playground or walk through the lot during peak times.
Bus Routes
Bus Routes are available on our website under For Families > Transportation or by clicking here.
Some students will be riding a transfer bus from the ECLC to BES and then will be safely transferred to their correct bus at BES. All other kindergarten students will be picked up directly at the ECLC by their assigned bus.
Please remember that it takes a couple of weeks for routes to smooth out and find their rhythm. You can help your driver by being out five minutes earlier than your scheduled pickup time.
If you have questions or need assistance, please reach out to Kelly Dobe at Dail Transportation at kdobe@ridesta.com or Brigid Connelly, Operations Manager at bconnelly@sau74.org.
