πŸ’œ The Roots of Doris Hoffman πŸ’œ The Roots of Doris Hoffman

This week at Doris Hoffman Early Learning Center, we are beginning to strengthen the roots of patience by helping our Little Indians learn the importance of waiting, taking turns, and trusting the process.

In early childhood, patience grows through everyday moments like waiting for a turn, listening to others, and working through tasks step by step. Our teachers are guiding students to slow down, use calm bodies, and remember that good things often take time.

You may notice patience growing at home when your child waits a little longer, takes turns more easily, or stays calm during moments of waiting.

Together, we are nurturing thoughtful, kind learners who are learning that growth takes time.

This week, our Little Indians are growing their patience by learning that waiting, taking turns, and staying calm are important life skills.

In our classrooms, patience is showing up in meaningful everyday moments β€” waiting for a turn with a favorite toy, listening while a friend talks, standing calmly in line, and working through activities step by step. Teachers are helping students use calm bodies, kind words, and deep breaths while they wait.

You can support patience at home by:
⭐ Practicing turn-taking during games or conversations
πŸ•’ Encouraging your child to wait for small things, like a snack or a turn
πŸ’¬ Using phrases like β€œYour turn is coming” or β€œThank you for waiting so patiently”

These simple moments help children build self-control, kindness, and confidence.

Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to grow strong character both at home and at school. πŸ’œ

Kindergarten registration is now open for the 2026-27 school year!

We are excited to welcome the Class of 2039! Children who turn five on or before August 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll. Registering early helps families receive timely information about screenings, school events, orientations, and important next steps.

How to get started:

πŸ‘‰Families new to MVR-III should contact the office of their assigned school Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. School staff will share guidance and a registration link to begin the enrollment process.

πŸ‘‰Families with students already attending MVR-III will complete kindergarten registration through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

πŸ‘‰Families whose children are not enrolled in MVR-III prekindergarten will need to schedule a kindergarten screening. To sign up for a kindergarten screening time, complete the online screening form: https://bit.ly/MVR3KDG

Bus Route Information

MVR-III uses the BusRight Parent App to communicate bus routes and times with parents. BusRight is a FREE parent app to allow parents to, in real-time, follow their child’s bus route to and from school, receive notifications when the bus begins and ends its route, view the expected arrival time at your child’s designated bus stop, and receive communication from the Transportation Department.

To access BusRight, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the App: Download the BusRight app from your mobile device's app store.

  2. Create an Account: Use your Infinite Campus email address to create a login.

  3. Track Your Student: Begin tracking your child's bus routes immediately.

If you have issues creating your account, you will need to verify with your school building office that you are listed as the primary guardian in Infinite Campus. Find out more on BusRight on the District website under Transportation.
