School Site Council Update

Our School Site Council meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 23rd.

Unfortunately, we experienced continued technical difficulties with the SSC ballot. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to ensure a smooth process.

To move forward, we will need to re-do the voting. A new ballot is linked below—please take a moment to cast your vote. We are so grateful for your understanding and for the willingness of our candidates to serve our school community. Voting will be open through Wednesday, September 17th at 4:00.

Attendance: Every Day Counts!

Reporting Absences

How do I report my student’s absence?

Absences can be reported by phone (916-971-7020); by email (DeweyAbsence@sanjuan.edu), by the Parent Portal or by Talking Points. Please report absences to the office by one of these methods, not just by notification to the teacher. In your message, include your student’s name, the date, and the reason for the absence

What Happens If I Don’t Report an Absence?

If we have no message notifying us about your student’s absence, we will contact you by phone or Talking Points, or by email if we cannot reach you by the other methods, to ask the reason for your student’s absence. If there is no response to our message, the absence will automatically be considered “unexcused” and will count toward truancy consequences for your student.

RaiseRight Update

Raise Days September 12-15

Earn BIG with FOUR days of Raise Days bonuses!

Raise Days is back, and it's BIG. Earn up to 23% with 125+ bonuses on eGift cards and reloaded gift cards. It's the perfect time to stock up for fall, get a jump start on holiday shopping, or just make the most of your household budget.

Save Time with Ship to Home

When ordering physical gift cards through RaiseRight, we encourage families to use the Ship to Home option. Shipping typically takes 3–5 days, while coordinator orders will only be placed twice per month. Coordinator shipments also cost $11 and require a signature, which can be difficult to coordinate with UPS.

By choosing Ship to Home, you’ll receive your cards much faster and more conveniently. There is a $1 shipping fee, but if you order a few cards at a time the cost is minimal compared to the wait for coordinator orders.

This is the easiest way to get your cards quickly while keeping the program running smoothly.

Chipotle Family Night

Looking ahead, be sure to order Chipotle gift cards (either as eGift cards in the RaiseRight app or by contacting me for physical cards) to use at our Family Dinner Night on October 8.
