Coyote Connection

Dear Reidy Creek Families,

Last Saturday, I attended EUSD's annual smART Festival, which was held at the California Center for the Arts. Student artwork from every Escondido school was on exhibit around the gallery. Additionally, the morning was filled with performances by student bands, dance troupes, and actors. Our poster contained a beautiful representation of art from class projects, our art enrichment wheel, and our Monart ELOP class. Our band students also did a wonderful job performing! It was hard to believe that some of these students have only been playing for 1-2 years.

On Wednesday, we had our third-grade Lunch and Learn. It was great seeing so many families during the presentation, learning all about State Testing, and enjoying lunch in our courtyard! We have two more Lunch and Learns this year. Our next one is for second grade families and is scheduled for April 23rd. The focus of the presentation will be navigating friendships through Social Emotional Learning. Kelly Sullivan, our social worker, will be presenting this topic with me.

Today marks the middle of trimester three. Teachers are working on completing progress reports for any students who are not meeting grade-level expectations at this time of the year. All progress reports will be sent home with students next Friday, April 4th.

Lastly, as a reminder, our Spring Break is quickly approaching. On Wednesday, April 9th, we have a minimum day of school. Dismissal is at 12:20. Spring break will be from Thursday, April 10th-Monday, April 21st. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22nd.

It's almost time for the Glow Party, which will be held on Friday, April 4th from 5:30-7:30. DJ Grizz will be providing the music, which is always such a special treat! There will also be face painting and games if your child needs a break from dancing. Cake pops will be available, and there will be tacos and drinks for purchase. This is one of our favorite community events throughout the year, so we hope to see you there! As a reminder, this event is only available to students and families who attend Reidy Creek.

I am excited to share that the 2025-2026 New Student Enrollment form for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Special Education Pre-K is now open. We are still planning to have three TK classes next year, but our program is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you, or someone you know, is interested in joining one of our classes, I encourage you to register as soon as possible.
