TALON TALK
π¬ Principal's Message
Hello, Reynolds Families!
It's been a productive first week back since Thanksgiving break! Students and staff returned feeling refreshed, and that renewed sense of energy is evident throughout our building as we push toward the end of the semester.
Upcoming Classroom Transitions
Our staff is actively preparing for the next phase of classroom relocations as work wraps up in our 300 wing and shifts into our 400 wing. These moves will take place over the break to minimize disruption.
When your child returns to campus on January 6th, they'll receive an updated schedule showing their new classroom locations. We're working hard behind the scenes to ensure this transition goes as seamlessly as possible. Students will have time during their first day back to locate their new rooms and get oriented to any changes.
We appreciate your patience as we continue improving our facilities. These upgrades will benefit our students for years to come.
Gifted and Talented Referral Window
The Gifted and Talented referral window will close Friday, January 16, 2026. If you feel your child consistently demonstrates gifted learner characteristics and has instructional needs that go beyond the rigor of the general classroom, please submit your referral form by January 16th. This form can be found on the Gifted & Talented page of the district website.
Students on the referral list will be evaluated during the spring, and results will be shared in April for services to begin in August 2026.
Reynolds Festival of Nations
Mark your calendars for January 20, 2026! We're thrilled to announce our Reynolds Festival of Nations, where we'll celebrate and showcase the incredible cultures that make up our Reynolds family. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to share their heritage and learn from one another. We can't wait to see the rich diversity of our school community come to life. More details will be shared as we get closer to the date!
Soaring together,
Dr. Jess Mullins
Principal, Reynolds Middle School
