Our Staff is Back!

Last Thursday our teachers and staff returned, and it was so good to be together again! Due to construction still being completed on the existing school building, we're meeting in other locations for a few more days. For these two weeks before school starts, we will be connecting, learning, reflecting, and preparing the building to welcome students and families back to campus! We can't wait to see the students again!

We do have a few new staff members joining us this year - be sure to keep an eye on our social media pages to meet and welcome them!

Check Your Parent Portal Information

As we begin a new school year, please log into your Parent Portal and check the following settings:

  • Emergency Contacts: click on "More", then click on "Demographics". Make sure your "Non-Household Relationships" are your emergency contacts and those individuals who may need to pick up your child from school. Parents, guardians, and emergency contacts will be added to the new dismissal system that we will begin using soon.
  • Address Information: click on "More", then click on "Address Information". If the address listed is not your current address, please email Jamesetta Mills with your new address and one new proof of residency from within the last 30 days. This will ensure you receive progress reports when they are sent home in USPS mail.
  • Notification Settings: click on the person icon in the top right, then click on "Settings" and "Contact Preferences". Make sure all phone and email boxes are checked so that you receive communication about newsletters, school closings, teacher emails, and other important info.

If you have any problems logging into your Parent Portal or other questions, please reach out to our Technology Coordinator, Tisha Kidd.

After School Clubs - Proposal Form

We are already making plans for the first semester after-school clubs! Clubs, which will begin in mid-September, meet after school once a week for ten weeks on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until 5 pm. The cost is $100, and there are limited scholarships available for students of families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.

Our clubs are taught by school staff, caregivers, and community members who are passionate about a skill or hobby that they want to share with our students. Some examples of popular clubs from previous years are yoga, Spanish club, cooking club, chess, soccer, Dungeons & Dragons, and crafting! Club mentors are paid $600 at the end of the semester for attending an orientation and teaching ten weeks of clubs. If you would like to be a club sponsor, please fill out this club proposal form by Monday, August 11th.
