Principal's Note

Dear Shoreham Community,

As we fly into the month of December, let's take time to pause focus on togetherness and a true sense of belonging in our community.

At SES, we foster a sense of belonging every single moment of every single day. It looks like teachers greeting every student in the morning by name, filling our bookshelves with stories that represent all, creating environments where it is ok to make mistakes, and coming together to play, grow and learn. Our goal is to make sure every student at Shoreham feels like they belong in our community and that they are valued.

This month, we will focus even more on coming together as a community of learners and celebrating one another.

As always, thank you for sharing your awesome kids with us everyday,

Jenny Urban

Assistant Principal

5th Graders finished up their unit about exploration and explorers. They presented their knowledge to their classmates. Ask them who the explorer they researched was!

4th grade students are being kind and considerate all day everyday! This looks like cleaning up the hallway, sweeping the floors and getting the classroom ready for learning everyday!

3rd graders finished their research essays! They are now experts on specific dinosaurs. Thank you to Ms. Martha and Ms. Longchamp for supporting our paleontologists!

2nd Grade is deep into their unit about homes and journeys. They went into our outdoor classroom this week to work on a fort and fairy house together.

1st graders are creating a milk carton city! I'm not sure what that means- but we will find out!

Kindergarteners are working with understanding numbers up to 10 with different tools. They love to play games to show their thinking!

Shoreham students are amazing!
