Get Ready for the 2025-2026 School Year!
Welcome back, Monsoons! We’re excited to kick off the 2025–2026 school year at Mayfair Middle/High School! The first day of school is Monday, August 18th, with a late start at 10:00 AM. Student schedules will be available to view on Aeries prior to the first day. We look forward to a great year of learning, growth, and community—let’s make it a memorable one!
Bell Schedule for Monday, August 18th
Start reviewing those bell schedules! Every Monday, school starts at 10am. The first day of school, we will start the school year with the Odd Periods.
Bell Schedule for August 19
Start reviewing those bell schedules! Every Tuesday through Friday, school starts at 8:30am.
Since the day before was August 18, and we started with the Odd Periods,
that would make the schedule for August 19 have the Even Periods!
And remember: The Calendar rotates between the Odd Periods and Even Periods for the entire year! Be sure to look at the Calendar to know.
Bell Schedule & Rotating Calendar Information
Here are two short videos that introduce our families to our Bell Schedule and our Rotating Calendar. The Rotating Calendar will inform you as to what periods (Odds or Events) that students will have throughout the entire year. The Bell Schedule will let you know when classes actually occur. Remember: Every Monday starts at 10am, and Tuesday-Friday school starts at 8:30am.
You will want to save a copy of the PDF files (which are located towards the very bottom of this newsletter). If downloading to your phone, you will need a PDF reader. Otherwise, you can also download the file to your computer as well.

IF YOUR STUDENT IS IN THE SDC OR MOD/SEVERE PROGRAMS:
If you are a returning SDC student to Mayfair, and you know how to navigate around campus, just follow the directions as listed above for the Middle School Plan or the High School Plan. If your student is a returning SDC student to Mayfair, and they normally have a 1:1 aide, that aide can meet you near the Admin 100 Building (Corner of Alington/Woodruff).
If you are a returning Mod/Severe student to Mayfair, and you normally go through the 300 Gate, please continue doing that. If you have a 1:1 aide, and you are a returning student from the Mod/Severe program, then they will meet you at the 300 Gate, if it is the same aide (otherwise, they may go outside of Admin 100).
For new students to our campus that are SDC or are in the Mod/Severe Program, you can meet before school at the Admin 100 Building (Corner of Alington/Woodruff) for assistance. If you have a 1:1 aide, and you are new to Mayfair, then your aide will also be at the Admin 100 Building.
For anyone with a 1:1 aide, please know that the aides are generally not available before school starts. School starts at 10am on Monday, August 18, 2025. Assignments are done through the district office, not through the school site itself. Please know that aides may have changed from last year to this year as well.
We ask that you have patience in the morning, as we do have a large population of students with special needs that may need assistance. We appreciate your cooperation.

Annoucement to our Mayfair Community
Dear Mayfair Families,
In the mornings and again in the afternoons, please avoid parking and waiting along the curb near the end of the allington street north parking lot by the 200 and 300 buildings (see area above). Our buses for students with special needs drop off and pick-up students along that location, so we ask that our mayfair families be courteous and move when buses arrive. Thank you.

Minga
Mayfair Middle/High School students will utilize the app called Minga as a digital ID card. The app enables staff to create hall passes, reward students for doing well and helping others, and the digital ID card will help students have an easier time entering or leaving campus. The digital ID has a "live" interface, with a running digital clock and a moving background, thus preventing students from using a screenshot [Screenshots of ID are not permitted]. Students will utilize their school email (via Google) to log in. The app is safe to use, uses very little data, and doesn't require access to any of the information stored on your phone. If your child does not have a smartphone, don't worry - they will receive a printed ID card as well. Click here to access a quick document that shows you how to log into your school's Minga account.
