Message from Principal Grebb:

Feeling overwhelmed? This time of year can be tough, with a lot of things coming to an end, new beginnings, and the ongoing grind of school. But we’ve got just two weeks left before Thanksgiving break—let’s use this time to buckle down, push through, and finish strong so we can enjoy that well-deserved rest.

A big congratulations to the Hawk Band for placing 8th in the State of Texas—what an incredible achievement! Volleyball is playing in the area round of the playoffs tonight in Giddings, good luck ladies! Keep showing up, keep working hard, and let's finish these next two weeks with focus and determination. Please:

The Anonymous Alerts is an anti-bullying and safety app reporting system that helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome. Students or parents can submit reports such as bullying, cyber bullying, depression, dating violence, drug or alcohol use, threats against the school, weapons on campus, and more.

The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between the submitters (students, parents, or community members) and District administration and/or school staff. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or reveal their identity when submitting a report.

TESLA Manufacturing Development Program (MDP)

Presentation coming to HHS!

A TESLA representative will be giving a presentation to HHS seniors regarding their TESLA Manufacturing Development

Program (MDP) and the START program on Thursday, November 14 in the PAC from 10-11 AM. MDP provides high

school graduates the opportunity to launch a career at Tesla by participating in a paid 7-week Advanced Manufacturing

Program at Austin Community College leading to full-time employment at Tesla. The first cohorts for this program

began the Summer of 2024. Twenty-five of HHS Class of ’24 grads are currently participating in this program! These

students will complete courses in Material Handling, DC Circuits, Production Quality, Advanced Manufacturing &

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) at Austin Community College.

Tesla START is an intensive training program that provides individuals across the U.S. with the skills necessary for a

successful career at Tesla and beyond. During the program, individuals develop technical expertise and earn

certifications through in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning. Students qualified students may transfer to

the START program later during their employment.

For more information, please view the flyer at the link below or email Cristina Allgood at cristina.allgood@pfisd.net.

Please complete the RSVP Google form if you are an

HHS senior and would like to attend, or if you would

like more information about these programs.

After this presentation, TESLA will offer follow up

events for preparation leading up to interviews for
