DMS Family and Friends,
Happy November! We had a very busy October at DMS. We closed out a winning football season and began the 2024-25 basketball season. In addition, we celebrated students with no tardies for the first nine weeks with a Tardy Party; they had a blast, by the way, and were so well-behaved. The challenge for the second nine weeks is for students to reach their growth goal on the next iReady Diagnostic Assessment in December.
The Love Like Lexi project was a success and made such a positive impact on our students and faculty/staff. Our Top Tigers for the first quarter were recognized, and we named our Teacher of the Year, Beth Lindsay, and Support Staff of the Year, Mary Beth Hilchey.
The basketball schedule has been updated; it is included below, as well as a list of November dates to remember. We will have an in-school basketball game on Nov. 12 (students only), so be on the lookout for details to come home with your student soon. **Reminder- if your child plays basketball and you want to save money, there is a season ticket option on the GoFan app.
I am extremely thankful to be the DMS Principal, and I hope you have a wonderful November!
