Dear Families,
It's always exciting to kick off a new school year, and we've had a fantastic first week at Summit Hill! One of my favorite traditions is welcoming our new students by presenting them with a Summit Hill Husky stuffed animal. Seeing their smiles as they become part of our Husky family is a wonderful way to begin the year.
As we look ahead, we hope all parents will join us for Curriculum Night next week. This is a valuable opportunity to meet with your child's teacher and learn more about the engaging experiences, learning goals, and exciting opportunities planned for the year. We look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful school year. Curriculum Night dates and times are listed above.
I have added a Summit Hill Calendar of Events so that you can plan ahead for the school year.
If you are interested in joining a club, there is information about Drama Club, Garden Club and the after-school Art program. We will have information about Spanish Club and Kindness Club next week.
Enjoy your weekend!
Stefi

i-Ready Inform
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As outlined in the Fulton County Schools Assessment Calendar, all students in kindergarten through fifth grade will participate in the i-Ready Inform Reading and Mathematics assessments during the coming weeks.
What is i-Ready Inform?
i-Ready Inform, previously known as the i-Ready Diagnostic, is a computer-adaptive assessment that measures student skills in Reading and Mathematics. The assessment serves as a universal screener and provides valuable information about each student's current academic performance. Results help identify students' strengths and areas for growth, allowing schools to provide appropriate instructional support and interventions when needed.
Please note that i-Ready Inform scores are not entered as grades and are used solely to inform instruction and support student learning.
The i-Ready Inform assessment is administered up to three times each school year. The beginning dates for the Fall administration at Summit Hill Elementary School are as follows:
Reading Assessment
- Grades 3-5: Monday, August 10
- Grades K-2: Tuesday, August 11
Mathematics Assessment
- Grades 3-5: Monday, August 17
- Grades K-2: Tuesday, August 18
To help families better understand the purpose and structure of the assessment, please review the resources below:
Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child's academic growth. If you have any questions about i-Ready Inform or your child's results, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or the school.
Code of Conduct
Parents and Guardians, please complete the Student Code of Conduct acknowledgment in Infinite Campus by August 31st. The Code of Conduct for the 2026-2027 school year is linked below.
Yearbook and Directory Opt Out
If you do not want your child's photo in the yearbook and/or your information disclosed in any directories, please submit this form to Camille Santos by August 31.
Car Riders
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. To help us maintain a safe and efficient afternoon dismissal process, please ensure that your assigned car rider tag is clearly displayed by hanging it from your rearview mirror or placing it in a visible location near your mirror. Visible tags help our staff identify vehicles quickly and ensure a safe, smooth dismissal process. If you need an additional tag, please email Shetransporation@fultonschools.org. Thank you for your partnership and cooperation.
New Transportation Change Protocol
When you have a transportation change for your child, please send an email to SHEtransportation@fultonschools.org. You may also call the front office at 470-254-2830.
If you are making a change after 1:45 pm, please call the office. Kim Stengard is our new front office Professional Assistant.

General School Information
Carpool begins each day at 7:10 and ends promptly at 7:40. Morning announcements and classes begin at 7:40, so please plan to arrive on time. Your child is never tardy when they ride the bus!
Afternoon dismissal begins at 2:20 and concludes at 2:45. If your child rides the bus, you can track their bus by downloading the app called Here Comes the Bus (the code is 87428 for Fulton County Schools).
Dismissal is usually slow the first week of school to ensure all students are on the correct bus so please be patient! Bus dismissal will begin before carpool dismissal, so it may run a bit later than normal.
If you would like to eat lunch with your child, you may join them for lunch after Labor Day, September 8.
If your child is absent, please email attendanceSHE@fultonschools.org to let us know they will be out. This email goes straight to our data clerk and helps us keep all student attendance on track.
Thank you!
We love to have parent volunteers at Summit Hill so please do the quick volunteer training that is required every year by clicking the link above.

New Payment System
We are excited to announce that Fulton County Schools is transitioning from Online School Payments (OSP) to SchoolCash Online as our new online payment platform.
We encourage all families to register for a SchoolCash Online account as soon as possible and add your student(s) to your account.
Register here:
https://fultonschools.schoolcashonline.com/
Once your student is linked, you will be able to view and pay for school fees and activities online.
PLEASE NOTE: iF you are new to Fulton County Schools, it may take a couple of days for your student to appear in the SchoolCash system after enrollment.
IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SCHOOLCASH ONLINE AND OSP
- With OSP, parents could select a school and view all available school fees and activities.
- With SchoolCash Online, fees and items are assigned directly to individual students.
- When you log in to SchoolCash Online and select your student, you will see all WBMS items currently available for that student.
We appreciate your patience and support as we make this transition. If you have any questions, please contact the Summit Hill front office.
Parent Portal
Infinite Campus is the parent portal to access your child's report card and see all student records. You can access information through the link here. Please ensure your contact information is up to date and we know who is allowed to pick up your child in case of an emergency. If you need help with Infinite Campus, Carol Shenk can help you at 470-254-8919.
