Greens vs GSE

Adding "Leaf" after the Green is just a different way of describing the same thing.

Biotin

https://www.healthline.com/health/the-benefits-of-biotin

Biotin supports your skin, hair, and eye health, as well as plays a role in other body functions and pregnancy. You can find biotin in food sources like egg yolk, nuts, and mushrooms.

Also known as vitamin H, biotin is one of the B complex vitamins that help the body convert food into energy.

The word “biotin” comes from the ancient Greek word “biotos,” which means “life” or “sustenance.” B vitamins, and specifically biotin, help keep your skin, hair, eyes, liver, and nervous system healthy. Biotin is also a crucial nutrientTrusted Source during pregnancy, as it’s important for embryonic growth.

Sea Buckthorn

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae Rhammoides) is a plant found throughout Europe and Asia and is known for its distinctive bright orange berries. Contrary to what you may believe, the plant is not in fact found underwater, rather on sandy dunes or plains.

The berry also rich in antioxidants and micronutrients. A true superfruit with high levels of carotenoids, bioflavonoids and potent bioactive compounds like superoxide dismutase and glutathione.

  • Healthy skin, hair and nails
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Mucous membrane function
  • Digestive and urogenital tract health.

1. Moisturises and nourishes the skin

Sea buckthorn oil is rich in fatty acids which are a key component of ceramides. Ceramides are a form of lipid (a naturally-occurring organic compound) and play a significant role in maintaining the skin’s natural barrier, as well as locking moisture into the skin.

It also contains other types of more complex lipid, including:

  • Phospholipids and glycolipids – moisturises and softens the epidermis (the skin’s outermost layer) and also improves elasticity of the skin.
  • Sterols – helps to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier and reduce water loss through the epidermis.

2. Rich in antioxidants

The substance is a powerful antioxidant, helping to fight free radicals in order to reduce the damage caused by them and other environmental stressors. Free radicals (atoms without an electron pairing) can ‘steal’ electrons from healthy cells, causing skin damage such as dryness, uneven pigmentation and broken blood vessels.

3. Supports skin regeneration

Sea buckthorn oil contains the unsaturated fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an example of an omega-6 fatty acid, which makes it a great ingredient to help repair and regenerate the skin. Other bioactive compounds in the oil, such as flavonoids and carotenoids, also help to support the regeneration of skin cells.

Skin regeneration is especially important for people struggling with various facial skin conditions such as rosacea, eczema or acne. This is because with skin regeneration, the healing process of the affected skin is sped up, and the appearance of scars and marks can be reduced.

4. Anti-inflammatory properties

The oil is known to be rich in GLA, which helps to improve the skin’s blood circulation. This means that the skin has a better supply of oxygen and essential nourishment, so toxins can be removed and inflammation calmed.

5. Improves skin tone and texture

The unsaturated fatty acids present in sea buckthorn oil mean it is a great ingredient for helping to improve the skin’s tone, texture and also structure. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of the oil help to boost the skin’s elasticity and also to remove toxins from the skin, promoting a brighter complexion.

"As chicory root fiber cannot be digested, eating too much of it can cause gas and bloating," says McGrane. "Individuals with irritable bowel syndrome or IBS, in particular, may be more likely to experience GI side effects from chicory root fiber."

Types of FODMAPs

Here are the different types of FODMAPs and examples of foods where they can be found:

  • Oligosaccharides: These include Fructans and Galacto-Oligosaccharides (GOS) found in foods such as wheat, rye, onions, garlic, and legumes.
  • Disaccharides: Lactose is a disaccharide found in dairy products like milk, soft cheeses, and yogurts.
  • Monosaccharides: Fructose is an example, found in honey, apples, and high fructose corn syrups.
  • Polyols: These include Sorbitol and Mannitol, found in some fruits, vegetables, and used as artificial sweeteners.

The 12 different Digestive Enzymes The 12 different Digestive Enzymes

Alpha-Amylase (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae - whole) 33 3 mg (5,000 FCC DU)

Amylase is an enzyme, or special protein, that helps you digest carbohydrates. Most of the amylase in your body is made by your pancreas and salivary glands

Protease, Protease 4 5 (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae – whole) 25 mg (20,000 FCC HUT)

Proteolytic enzymes (proteases) are enzymes that break down protein. These enzymes are made by animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria.

Papain (Carica papaya) (leaf) 12 9 mg (540,000 FCC PU)

It is a protease, meaning it breaks down proteins.
2 5 mg (500 FCC SU)

Beta-Galactosidase, Lactase (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae – whole) 12 mg (1,200 FCC ALU)

β-Galactosidase, commonly known as lactase, is an enzyme responsible to hydrolyze lactose

Fungal Protease (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae - whole) 9 1 mg (2,500 FCC HUT) Fungal Protease, Protease 3 0 (Aspergillus niger – whole)

Proteolytic enzymes (proteases) are enzymes that break down protein.

Glucoamylase (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae – whole) 8 3 mg (10 FCC AGU)

Glucoamylase is an enzyme of the glycoside hydrolase family. This enzyme is involved in digestion and is released in the cells of the small intestine. It breaks the bonds between two glucoses contained in polymers such as starch.

Alpha-Galactosidase (Aspergillus niger – whole) 5 8 mg (175 FCC GalU)

Alpha-galactosidase is a digestive enzyme that breaks down complex carbohydrates like legumes, grains, and cruciferous vegetables to make them easier to digest. Thus, it prevents flatus and other gastrointestinal symptoms resulting from a high-fiber diet.

Bacterial Protease (Bacillus subtilis – whole cell) 5 mg (5,000 FCC PU)

Proteolytic enzymes break down proteins in the body or on the skin.

Fungal Protease, Protease 6 0 (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae – whole) 4 8 mg (2,500 FCC HUT)

Fungal proteases hold a pivotal position in cellular signaling and physiological processes occurring in the human body [20]. They possess antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antitumor activities due to the presence of bioactive compounds

Stem bromelain (Ananas comosus var. comosus) (stem) 4 2 mg (140,000 FCC PU)

Bromelain is a type of enzyme called a proteolytic enzyme. It is found in pineapple juice and in the pineapple stem.

Bromelain belongs to a group of protein digesting enzymes obtained commercially from the fruit or stem of pineapple. Fruit bromelain and stem bromelainare prepared differently and they contain different enzymatic composition. “Bromelain” refers usually to the “stem bromelain.”

Triacylglycerol lipase, Lipase (Rhizopus oryzae – whole) 3 mg (210 FCC LU)

Lipase is an enzyme the body uses to break down fats in food so they can be absorbed in the intestines.

Fats that aren't absorbed in your small intestine pass to your colon, causing fatty stools (steatorrhea). Fatty stools are greasy and runny and particularly smelly. They may be light-colored and float. Fat malabsorption also leads to the malabsorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K)

Beta-Fructofuranosidase Invertase

Invertase break down the sucrose into glucose and fructose as a result increase in osmotic pressure of cells, so this play role in cell elongation and growth process [12].
