Greetings, Laker Families-
Well, it looks like a week of “April showers bring May flowers” ahead, but we are excited to be kicking off the PTA spring Apex Fun Run fundraiser! Please be watching for information coming home in your child’s backpack today.
March was music appreciation month and we wrapped it up with the Lakeridge Middle School band and choir coming to perform at EHE for our 5th grade classes in the MPR last Wednesday…so much fun! Mr. Osborn (LMS band teacher) will be returning to EHE to talk with the students more about playing an instrument next year as 6th graders. I would encourage you to talk with your 5th grader about the assembly and the potential for playing an instrument in the band and/or joining choir as a 6th grader. Research shows that music can enhance brain function….
Whether or not your child learns a musical instrument, try to expose your child to music as much as possible and enjoy the many benefits!

4/28 – Kindergarten Roundup for incoming NEW kinders for 2022-23…5:00-6:30pm
5/2-5/6 – Staff Appreciation Week
5/5 – 5th grade music performance at EHE…7:00pm
5/12 –4th/5th grade choir performance at EHE…7:00pm
5/30 – Memorial Day (no school)
6/20 – Last Day of school…1/2 day early release at 12:15 (NO late start Monday)
