HSI Garland Veterans Day Celebration! HSI Garland honors Veterans and enriches students. Veterans will be on campus to talk with classes and answer questions about their time in the armed forces. Veterans also enjoy a delicious lunch! If you know a Veteran who can participate on November 11, please email their contact information to jstults@harmonytx.org. Thanks!

Skyward Family Access is a simple and secure way for parents and guardians to stay involved in their child’s school life. With just one login, you can:

• 📌 See important student information and updates
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Access all your children’s information in one place—even if they attend different campuses

Each parent or guardian can have their own account, as long as they are listed in the school system. Skyward makes it easy to stay informed, support your child, and stay connected with their education every day!

If you are not receiving Skyward emails or notifications, here are a few quick things to check: (Click Skyward For Website) 👉

• 📬 Make sure your email inbox is not full and can receive new messages
• 📂 Check your spam or junk folder and mark Skyward emails as “Not Spam”
• 🚫 Ensure Skyward emails are not blocked in your email settings (students can be tricky lol)
• 📧 Confirm that the school has your most up-to-date email address by contacting the front office

If you’re still having trouble logging in, don’t worry—we’re here for you! Feel free to call (469-814-0059) or stop by the front office, and we can send you a password reset email that will include your username as well.

The holidays are almost here! Have a favorite family recipe? Share it in our campus’s FIRST Culinary Cuisine Cookbook, sponsored by NHS and NJHS, featuring recipes from six continents and over 20 countries! Students in grades 7–12 and their families are invited to submit a recipe that celebrates their culture, traditions, or favorite foods. Students will receive community service hours for participating! Our completed collection of recipes from around the world will be shared with our local community, bringing people together through food and family stories. Submit your recipe through the Google Form linked on the flyer by Friday, November 13th. Let’s celebrate our cultures, share a taste of home, and cook up a little #loveofliteracy!

Please view the information below regarding state-mandated student health screenings.

To ensure your child can receive needed health and clinical services at school, an Annual Health Consent Form must be completed and submitted each year.

This form is available online only through your Skyward Parent Portal account.

Services covered by this consent include first aid, state-required health screenings, support for illness symptoms, and school counseling services related to mental and emotional health (including activities and screenings).

Please complete and submit the form as soon as possible. Without it, we may not be able to provide these services to your student. If you need additional info or questions, please review the information below or contact our campus health aide, Ms. Castillo - ccastillo@harmonytx.org

If your student has any medical condition or needs to take medication during the school day. This includes both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

A medication authorization form must be completed by a parent/guardian and your child’s doctor before any medication can be given at school. Examples include conditions such as asthma (inhalers) or diabetes (insulin).

To help keep our school community safe and healthy, please review the following:

• Required Vaccines: Students must have at least the first dose of required vaccines before the school year begins.
• Waivers: If you choose not to vaccinate, proof of a waiver application must be submitted within the first 30 days of school. (Affidavits available on campus upon request)
• Records: All vaccination records must be in English or include a translation for our Health Aide.
