Dear Lewiston-Porter Primary Education Center Families,

There is so much to be grateful for in our school community! As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to make every child's educational journey meaningful, engaging, and successful.

Thank you to all the families who completed our Parent Leader in Me Survey. Your feedback is valuable and will help guide our continued growth as a school community. Our Building Leadership Team will review feedback from both families and staff as we identify opportunities to strengthen our work and align our efforts with the District Strategic Plan. We look forward to sharing our progress with you in the future. Our hope is to empower students to develop lifelong habits that foster a growth mindset, build confidence, and prepare them to make meaningful contributions to their community.

First Trimester and Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our first trimester will conclude on December 4th. Please be on the lookout for communication from your child's classroom teacher regarding the process for scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences.

We have dedicated Friday, December 11th, to these important conversations between families and teachers. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate your child's growth, review academic achievement, and discuss individual goals and next steps. We deeply value the opportunity to collaborate with you as partners in your child's educational journey.

A Season of Gratitude at PEC

As we reflect on all that makes our school special, I am sincerely grateful for our dedicated staff, who bring their personal best to our shared mission each day. I am equally thankful for our supportive families, who partner with us to create the best pathway for their children. Most of all, I am grateful for our students, who teach me valuable life lessons every day through their curiosity, kindness, resilience, and unique perspectives.

In the spirit of gratitude, I encourage you to invite your child to share a note, poem, or piece of artwork with a teacher or school helper this month expressing their appreciation. A simple message answering the question, “What are you thankful for?” can brighten someone's day and remind us of the meaningful connections that make our PEC community so special.

Stay Connected with PEC!

Be sure to check out our Morning News clips on Seesaw, featuring our dynamic PEC Student News Production Crew! Our student leaders work hard to keep everyone informed and connected. You can also download the Lewiston-Porter CSD app to stay up to date on school events, announcements, and happenings throughout the day.

Thank you for being an important part of our PEC family. Together, we continue to build a school community where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Tamara Larson

Principal, Primary Education Center

Students at the Primary Education Center had an assembly to kick off their new theme, “Reading Grows Great Minds!”

Under the direction of Miss Mosier , students in Pre-K through 2nd grade came together to sing three wonderful songs celebrating the joy of reading, learning, and growing. What a joyful way to begin the new theme!📖 🎵

We are so proud of our young readers and singers! 💓
