PTA Weekly Update

Good morning Huskie Families,

Believe it or not, we're well into the home stretch of the 2025-26 school year! A few important notes for this week:

• Join us for our final PTA member meeting on Thursday, May 21 at 9:30 in the MPR. This will be Mr. Worst's last meeting and Mrs. Adams will be in attendance. We will recognize the efforts of our committee chairs. If you're considering joining a PTA committee or want to get more involved next year, try to attend this meeting. It's a great opportunity to ask questions and meet board members.
  
  
• We need a few more volunteers for Field Day (Thursday, May 27), as well as to prep water balloons the day before. Please sign up to help if you're able!
  
  
• Save yourself some time and order supplies for next school year from our partners at EPI. Use code SPR141. Orders are due by June 16. Supplies will be delivered directly to your students' classrooms in time for school to start in August.

Please join us in the Multipurpose Room for our final all-member PTA meeting of the 2025-2026 school year. It will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

If you'd like the opportunity to say farewell to Mr. Worst, or meet our incoming principal Mrs. Adams, this is your chance. We will also be recognizing the volunteer efforts of our committee chairs. Can't attend in person? Join via Google Meet.

Spring Brook's annual Field Day is next Thursday, May 27! We're planning fun-filled day to wrap up a great school year! K-2 and 3-5 grade students will each participate in a half-day filled with activities. We have a few volunteer spots available for the day of, and are in need of a few volunteers to help with preparation the day before. Sign up here.

Save yourself some time and order school supplies online! EPI School Supplies will once again provide supply packs for Spring Brook for the 2026-27 school year. Go to the website to purchase supplies for your student(s) now. Use school code SPR141.

Supply packs will be delivered to the school. The deadline to order is June 16, 2025.

The PTA is always looking for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students. We expanded our sponsorship program during the 2025-2026 school year and plan to continue these efforts in the 2026-2027 school year.

If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.

The national PTA has been committed to arts education for more than 50 years. Students who love art, music, photography, dance, writing, or film are invited to create original works of art for the PTA's Art Reflections Program. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in pre-K through grade 12 participate, creating artwork in response to a student-created theme.

The theme for the 2026-2027 Art Reflections Program was just announced: “What My Culture Means to Me.” Take some time this summer with your kids to think about this theme. Entries will be due mid October.

Even though we're headed into summer break mode, the PTA executive committee is already thinking ahead to the 2026-2027 academic year. We will have a number of openings on our event and program committees.
